Evidence Shows That Many Conditions Benefit From Foot Orthotics

Foot orthotics are a proven, key component in the management of many foot, ankle and knee issues. Physiotherapists are uniquely trained to optimize foot orthotics as a part of a total treatment plan. With over 20 years of foot orthotic experience and unique integrated assessment, our lead physiotherapist uses clinical assessment and the latest technology to assess the function of your feet and how foot orthotics may fit into your recovery plan.

Big-Picture, Physiotherapist Assessment

Physiotherapist have training in all aspects of complete conservative musculoskeletal care. Using clinical evaluation skills, years of experience, and the latest technology, our experienced physiotherapist evaluates your current condition or injury in the context of your medical history and complete care plan. We let you know what role the orthotics should play in your recovery, and what other steps you can be taking to fully deal with your condition.

Maximizing Technology

Used appropriately, technology can greatly assist in musculoskeletal evaluation. Computerized tools and imaging can often see what the human eye can not, picking up subtleties in your walking/running pattern that can fine-tune an orthotic prescription. We use Video Gait Analysis, Gait Pressure Analysis, Laser Measurement systems and more to supplement an experienced clinical evaluation. You get the best of both computerized and human skill sets.

More Than Foot Orthotics

Foot Orthotics are typically only a portion of a complete care plan. In an age of strained medical systems and rushed appointments, complete care plans are often lacking. An experienced physiotherapist is a key member of the musculoskeletal treatment team. As a part of your custom orthotics visits, you will also receive recommendations for additional measures you should take (stretching, strengthening, adjunct treatments) that are typically part of the complete solution for your condition.
