General Frequently Asked Questions
  • Can you direct bill my extended health benefits?

Yes! We have set up relationships with most extended health benefit plans, including:

      • Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance
      • Cowan Desjardins Insurance
      • Great-West Life
      • Industrial Alliance
      • Johnson Inc.
      • Manulife Financial
      • Maximum Benefit or Johnston Group
      • Standard Life
      • Sun Life Financial
      • Royal Canadian Mounted Police
      • Veterans Affairs Canada

  • How does direct billing of my insurance work?

We have special online connections with most insurance coverage. With your insurance client numbers, we are able to connect to the insurance company and have them directly pay for your visit automatically – less work for you! If there is a deductible or co-payment required, we can let you know that as well and process that on the spot.

  • Do I need a referral?

For physiotherapy, we don’t require a referral for any of our services as we are direct access providers. However, your extended health plan may require a referral as a condition of your coverage. If you have extended health coverage and are hoping for reimbursement or direct billing, you may want to check the details of your plan.

  • What payments are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Interac, and Cash.

  • What services do you offer?

Our primary clinic specialty is physiotherapy. Of course with experience comes specialization, and we certainly focus on the treatments we have found tried and true over the years and the new treatments that have sufficient evidence backing them. Check our our “Services” pages for more detail.

  • What should I bring to my first appointment?

If you have any of the following, please bring them along:
    • Intake Forms downloaded from our website
    • Doctor’s referral (not required for an appointment)
    • Any imaging results (X-ray, MRI, CT, etc.)
ICBC / WorkSafe BC claim number / case manager

  • Should I arrive early for my assessment?

ICBC / WorkSafe Claim? If you have been injured in a work or car accident (ICBC or WorkSafe Claim), please come about 15 minutes early to help us get this done.

Private Client / Extended Benefit Coverage? If you do not have one of these claims, you will have about 5 minutes of paperwork but if you registered  with out online booking, you are ready to go, but still great if you can get here 5 minutes early.

  • What should I wear?

For low back and lower extremity issues, it is best to wear or bring some gym shorts to wear. We do have shorts at the clinic as well if you need or prefer – they may not be stylish though :). If we are treating your neck, shoulder, or upper back, women should wear a sports bra or tank top. We do have gowns available if you need or prefer.

  • How long will my physiotherapy appointment take?

Generally your first appointment will take about 45 minutes, but sometimes up to an hour. It will depend on the type fo condition of injury we are assessing. Follow-up appointments are approximately 30 to 45 minutes
