Remmert Hinlopen
“I would recommend Remmert without hesitation.”
Sandra Gay
After working three years for other clinics, Remmert’s creativity and passion for creating a new team of professionals working together returned in mid-2018.
His desire to build a new group of a like-minded physiotherapist and other healthcare professionals with a strong connection to the Chilliwack community and the individual/personal care to their patients became a reality in May 2019 with the opening of FusionPhysio.
He feels that a smaller size clinic gives him the upper hand in delivering stronger personal and individual focussed services to the Chilliwack community.
FusionPhysio is a place where physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals, can continue to deliver the treatments and techniques by working together towards the best results for you as a patient.
Outside work his passion is his wife and kids`, the outdoors and enjoying the open road to adventures wherever the silver bullet will take them!
History:
Just 4 months after Graduating from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands in 1989, Remmert was determined to start a new adventure in BC Canada and Immigrated in 1990.
After three years working in the public healthcare system (at VGH and CGH hospital), he was ready to use his creative mind and business ambitions and he started a private clinic in partnership with Peter DeVette : Fraser Valley Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre (aka FV Physio) opened in March 1993.
Remmert ’s longtime dream of setting up a rehabilitation centre where healthcare professionals work together in a multidisciplinary team to give the best care possible to the clients, became a reality in 2003
When the FVPhysio clinic moved into the Chilliwack Landing Leisure centre, a wide variety of services were offered : physiotherapy, massage therapy, occupational therapy, acupuncture, specific rehab programs for WCB/ICBC clients and clinical counselling.
For many years the FVPhysio clinic was the mayor place for most of the rehabilitation needs for the Chilliwack citizens.
Looking back, we seem to have been light years ahead of our time. Now we see the BC government planning to roll out primary care centres in the BC communities over the next few years. This reflects what Remmert has been working towards for years.
