Delaney Brett
Delaney is a graduate of the University of the Fraser Valley with a major in Exercise Science and an extended minor in Psychology. After spending numerous hours rehabilitating from a sports injury, she made the decision to pursue a career in physical rehabilitation.
Delaney has a passion for neuroscience and the way in which the brain and body can work together as a team. Recently she completed a course in Concussion Rehab and Neuroscience and has used it to assist those with prolonged concussion symptoms or neurological-related issues limiting movement and function such as a stroke or Parkinson’s.
Delaney has worked as a Kinesiologist in numerous settings including physiotherapy clinics, in-home rehabilitation, and long-term care home settings. She is motivated to help her clients maintain and keep their independence and strength to meet any goals they may have.
Delaney is actively involved in her community and values giving back to the town that raised her. She has spent countless hours working with Special Olympics BC, volunteered her time to numerous charity organizations, and currently works as the head trainer for the Junior A Team the Chilliwack Jets.
When not in the clinic or at a local rink, Delaney enjoys spending time with her friends, family, husband, and dog Maisie. She also enjoys spending time where she grew up on Cultus Lake, hiking, surfing, and relaxing by the lake.
