The practice of Massage Therapy is the assessment, treatment and prevention of soft tissue and joint disorders. We use various treatment methods such as hydrotherapy (ice or heat), mobilization and therapeutic exercise to rehabilitate, relieve pain and improve health. Massage therapy is also effective in the control of pain (chronic or acute), in stress reduction and in creating a sense of relaxation and well-being.
Registered Massage Therapists in B.C. have the highest education standards in North America. In B.C., RMT’s must now complete a minimum of 2200 hours of specialized education and training program at an accredited college.
